Independence Day serves as an occasion to reflect upon the principles and values that define the United States of America. This is a time to honor our founders' vision, courage, and sacrifices, through which they secured the cherished gift of freedom from tyranny. Each person in that founding generation of Americans played an important role in building the country we live in today.
